Ingredients For cajun corn soup

1 cchopped onion

1 cchopped green pepper

6green onions, sliced

1/2 ccooking oil

1/2 call-purpose flour

3 cflour

3 cwater

1 14-oz canstewed tomatoes

2 cchopped peeled tomatoes

1 6-oz cantomato paste
-
2 16-oz pkgfrozen whole kernel corn

3 ccubed cooked ham
-
1 1/2 lbfully cooked smoked sausage, sliced

1/8 tspcayenne pepper, or to taste

salt to taste

hot pepper sauce, to taste
How To Make cajun corn soup

1In a large kettle or Dutch oven, saute onion, green pepper and green onions in oil until tender, about 5 minutes. Add flour and cook until bubbly. Add water, stewed tomatoes and chopped tomatoes and tomato paste; mix well.

2Stir in the corn, ham, sausage, cayenne pepper, salt and hot pepper sauce.

3Bring to a boil, stirring frequently. Reduce heat; simmer, uncovered for 1 hour, stirring occasionally.
