From Mark's Polish family recipes. One of the recipes already in JAP calls for this Vegetable Fish Bouillon. So here it is!

1 lgonion, quartered

1 lgcarrot, cut up

1stalk celery, cut up

1parsley root, cut up

3peppercorns

1bay leaf

4 cwater

fish trimmings and heads

salt to taste
How To Make wywar z wlosczcyzny i ryby (veg fish bouillon)

1Place vegetables and the spices in cold water. Add fish trimmings and heads. Bring to a boil, then simmer for 30 minutes. Strain. Yields 4 cups.
