i lov my seafood and what better way to have it in the fall and winter than a big ole bowl of soup to warm ya up.....

Ingredients For seafood chowder

  • 1/2 lb
    med shrimp
  • 1/2 lb
    imitation crabmeat
  • 1/2 lb
    bay scallops
  • 1 can
    clams
  • 1 lb
    lobster
  • 2 lg
    poataoes,cubed
  • 2 lg
    ribs celery with leaves,chopped
  • 1 lg
    white onion,chopped
  • 1 md
    carrot,grated
  • 1 Tbsp
    old bay seasoning
  • 1 Tbsp
    garlic powder
  • 2 bottle
    clam juice
  • salt and pepper,to taste
  • water to cover
  • 1 qt
    heavy cream
  • pat of butter,per bowl of soup
  • green onion,garnish

How To Make seafood chowder

  • 1
    in lg soup pot put all veggies...add clam juice and water to cover add spices....bring to boil lower temp to simmer cook til veggies fork tender
  • 2
    while veggies cook prep all seafood so it is ready to drop into soup once veggies are tender add seafood in order given,lobster,scallops,clams wait 5 min add crab meat and shrimp cook 5-10 min til shrimp turn pink add heavy cram cook jus til hot serve with pat of butter and green onions enjoy
