1In a large pot, render the fat from bacon, add olive oil, onions, carrots, celery, garlic, thyme, bay leaves,

2add in the tomatoes and clam juice, potatoes. simmer 15 minutes.

3add in the clams, cornstarch, salt/pepper/red pepper flakes

4cover & simmer 20 minutes...serve w/lemon.
