Ingredients For manhattan clam chowder

    carrot, diced

  • 1 Tbsp
    bacon (turkey is fine)

    bay leaves
  • 1 Tbsp
    olive oil
  • 1 pinch
    thyme
  • 1 bottle
    clam juice
  • 1 can
    minced clams with juice
  • 1 can
    tomatoes, diced
  • 1 tsp
    cornstarch
  • salt/pepper
  • 1 tsp
    red pepper flakes
  • 1
    potato, diced

    In a large pot, render the fat from bacon, add olive oil, onions, carrots, celery, garlic, thyme, bay leaves,

    add in the tomatoes and clam juice, potatoes. simmer 15 minutes.
