1/2 colive oil, extra virgin

2-3 clovegarlic, chopped

1 1/2 conion, chopped

1/4 cparsley, chopped

2 ccelery, chopped
-
1 cgreen pepper, chopped

2 1/2 cantomatoe sauce
-
1 citalian dry wine.

1 tspsalt
-
1/4 tsppepper
-
1/2 tsppaprika
-
1/2 tspsweet basil leaves
-
1-1/2 lbshrimp, cleaned, shelled & deveined
-
1 1/2 lbassorted fish fillets: seabass, cod, snapper

1 1/2 lbcooked, cracked crabs

2 dz.fresh clams
How To Make mama "g's' cioppino (fish stew)

1In a Large dutch oven or large kettle, saute garlic, onions, parsley, celery, green peppers in hot olive oil, being careful not to burn. Add tomatoes sauce, wine & seasonings. Simmer 1 hour. PREPARE SEAFOOD: While sauce is cooking, cut fish into pieces, clean & crack crab and scrub the clams. After sauce is cooked, add seafood (except the clams!!!) to the kettle. Cook over low heat until fish is done (no more than 25 minutes) Add clams. As soon as clams open, serve.
