Ingredients For panera broccoli soup with a twist

  • 6 c
    fresh or frozen broccoli florets
  • 1 c
    shredded carrots
  • 1 lg
    onion, chopped
  • 1/2 tsp
    salt
  • 1/4 tsp
    pepper
  • 1/2 tsp
    garlic powder
  • 1/4 tsp
    onion powder
  • 3 c
    chicken broth
  • 1/4 c
    cornstarch
  • 1 c
    chicken broth
  • 1 c
    heavy cream
  • 16 oz
    velveeta cheese

How To Make panera broccoli soup with a twist

    Place the first 8 ingredients into crock pot or slow cooker.

    In a small bowl, add 1 cup chicken broth to 1/4 cup cornstarch and mix until smooth.

    Add cornstarch mixture to ingredients in slow cooker and mix well.

    Set slow cooker to HIGH setting and cover.

    Cook for 4 hours.

    To mixture in slow cooker, add 1 cup heavy cream and 16 oz. Velveeta cheese, cut into cubes. Stir well

    Cover slow cooker and continue cooking on HIGH for 20 more minutes, or until cheese is completely melted.
