WOW, your famiy and friends with this delightful oyster stew for the holidays. This stew will be good for any occassion. Ingredients For oh so good oyster, bacon & mushroom stew

1 ptfresh raw oysters, undrained

4 slicebacon, cooked & chopped

2 Tbspbutter, unsalted

8 ozportabella mushrooms, sliced

1 tspthyme, dried
-
1/4 ccelery, chopped and cooked

1 1/2 Tbspparsley, chopped

1 smred onion, chopped
-
1 1/2 qthalf and half
-
1/4 csherry, pale and dry

1 Tbsphot sauce
-
1 tsppaprika
-
1 Tbspeverglades seasoning (season salt)

1 tspcrushed red pepper
How To Make oh so good oyster, bacon & mushroom stew

1get your oysters ready. check for shells

2fry your bacon really crispy in a medium sized stock pot. remove bacon from pot. saute your onions and celery in rendered bacon fat and butter until tanslucent. remove from pot. saute mushrooms with thyme until golden browm

3add half and half to the pot. add all the remaining ingredients. cook on low for an additional 5-7 minutes until oysters ends begin to curl.

4ladle stew in bowls and garnish with chopped green onion. serve with crackers of shoice.
