Ingredients For mushroom barley soup

  • 4 c
    sliced mushrooms
  • 1 lg
    chopped onions
  • 1 c
    pearl barley
  • 3 c
    milk
  • 2 c
    water
  • 2 Tbsp
    butter
  • 3 Tbsp
    chicken base
  • 1 tsp
    white peppers
  • to thicken roux equal parts flour and margarine cooked

How To Make mushroom barley soup

  • 1
    Place all in stock pot Except milk & roux. Simmer until onions are cooked. Temper the milk in tc the soup. Add the roux to thicken. This soup should be on the thick side. ENJOY
