Ingredients For dumpling soup

  • 1 lg
    egg
  • 1/2 tsp
    each salt and water
  • 1/4 c
    flour
  • 2 c
    milk
  • 4 Tbsp
    butter
  • salt and pepper

How To Make dumpling soup

  • 1
    Whisk the egg with the salt and water. Slowly add the flour until thick.

    Bring a large pot of water to a boil. Dip the spoon into the water and scoup a spoonful of the dough and drop it into the water. Cook 5 to 10 minutes. They will rise to the top of the water. Scoop them out with slotted spoon or drain.carefully through a strainer. Set aside.

    Add the milk to the pan and bring to a simmer. Put the dumplings in the milk. Add the butter salt and pepper. Serve once warmed through.
