Ingredients For creamy crab soup

  • 1/2 c
    butter
  • 1/3 c
    flour
  • 2 tsp
    old bay seasoning
  • 1 Tbsp
    worcestershire sauce
  • 1 1/2 c
    chicken or seafood stock
  • 1 c
    each dry white wine and heavy cream
  • 1 pkg
    country style gravy prepared according to package directions
  • 8 oz
    crab meat
  • salt and pepper to taste

How To Make creamy crab soup

  • 1
    Melt the butter in a large pot. Stir in the flour and cook until browned about 3 minutes. Add the Old bay seasoning and Worcestershire sauce. Whisk in the chicken stock, wine and heavy cream. Stir the gravy into the soup and simmer 5 minutes.

    Stir in the crab meat. Simmer 2 minutes. Taste and season with salt and pepper.
