If you like onions..you will like this delicious soup. Even my kids like it...what's not to like? It's cheesy, creamy and savory. ..It's also a quick fix, when in a hurry...I guarantee you will love it. Serve it with a salad, and a slice of crusty bread, and you will have a complete and satisfying meal. This makes 4 servings...I always double the batch...that's how good it is. My pictures

Ingredients For creamy, cheesy onion soup

2 cthin sliced sweet onions

6 Tbspbutter, divided

1 can( 14 1/2 ounces ) chicken broth
-
2 tspchicken bouillon , or chicken soup starter paste

1/4 - 1/2 tsppepper
-
3 Tbspflour
-
1 1/2 cmilk
-
1/4 cvelveeta processed cheese, cut into small cubes

shredded cheddar cheese and parsley ( optional)
How To Make creamy, cheesy onion soup

1Gather ingredients Ignore the sour cream, had pic taken before realized it wasn't needed in the soup

2In large skillet, cook the onions in 3 tablespoons of butter over medium heat until tender.

3Add the broth, bouillon and pepper, bring to boil and remove from heat.

4In a large saucepan, melt the remaining butter. Stir in flour until smooth. Slowly blend in the milk

5Bring to a boil for 1 - 2 minutes or till thickened. Reduce heat; add processed cheese and the onion mixture. Cook and stir until the cheese is melted.

6If you want, garnish with shredded cheddar and some parsley... This is very savory and delicious!
