I know there are lots of recipes out there for potato soup. I wasn't sure if there was one made with cream cheese. This recipe comes from my daughters friend in Ohio, Susan D.

Ingredients For cream cheese potato soup

8-10potatoes, peeled & cubed

1 stickbutter
-
1/2onion, chopped
-
8 ozcream cheese, cubed

1 cancream of celery soup

1 canlarge can of chicken broth
How To Make cream cheese potato soup

1Saute onion in butter. Add broth, soup & cubed cheese. Cook over medium heat until cream cheese melts.

2Add potatoes, salt & pepper to taste. Cook about 1-2 hours over low heat, stirring occasionally

3Sprinkle with chives & bacon bits when served.
