A simple soup....garnish with bacon crumbs and you are set.

Ingredients For cheese soup

  • 2 c
    milk
  • 2 c
    boiling water
  • 1
    onion, sliced
  • 1/2
    bay leaf
  • 2 Tbsp
    flour
  • 1/2 c
    grated cheese
  • 1
    egg, well beaten
  • 1 tsp
    salt
  • 1 Tbsp
    butter
  • 1 dash
    cayenne

How To Make cheese soup

  • 1
    Scald milk, water, onion and bay leaf; 20 minutes. Skim out onion and bay leaf. Thicken milk with butter and flour cooked together. Add cheese, egg and seasonings; stir until cheese melts.
