Ingredients For carot velet soup

2 tbsp butter

3 whole cloves
-
1/2 tsp coriander seeds,crushed

1 lb.carrots peeled and thinly sliced

2 1/2 c. chicken broth
-
salt and pepper to taste

1/4 tsp sugar
-
1 c. half and half
-
fresh chives ,optional garnich
How To Make carot velet soup

1place butter,cloves and coliander seeds into deep saucepan.Add Carrots,broth,salt sugar and pepper

2cover and cook until carrots are tender,about 30 minutes

3In a food processor,puree the soup mixture until smooth. return mixture to saucepan, add half and half. Gently reheat soup and add seasoning if needed. Garnish with freshly snipped chives
