Ingredients For wild rice chowder

2 cwild rice, cooked

3 mdpotatoes, washed and cubed

1/2 conion, chopped

1 qtchicken broth
-
1 cshredded cheddar or swiss cheese

3-4 slicebacon, cooked, drained, then crumbled

1 pinchparsley flakes
-
1 stickwild asparagus, finely chopped

1 pinchsalt and pepper

1/2 clight cream or milk
How To Make wild rice chowder

1Cook potatoes in the broth until tender, 20-30 mins. Also, cook wild rice according to the directions on the package- then set aside. Cook the bacon, drain, set aside to crumble into the soup later.

2Add onion, cheese, bacon, cream or light milk. Simmer, stirring frequently until the cheese melts; soup is hot, not boiling. Add cooked Wild Rice, Season with salt and pepper if needed. Garnish with a little Parsley or Wild Asparagus- (Optional)
