This is one of my favorites to make on days when I don't really feel like cooking. I change it up a bit each time depending what I have in the fridge.

Ingredients For quickie ham and corn chowder

  • 15 oz
    cream style corn
  • 15 oz
    corn, canned or frozen
  • 1 Tbsp
    onion, minced
  • 1 1/2 c
    cooked ham, chopped
  • 2
    potatoes, peeled and diced
  • 2 stalk
    celery, diced, optional
  • 1 c
    carrots, diced, optional
  • 1 c
    cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 1 1/2 c
    milk
  • 1 1/2 tsp
    thyme
  • 1
    green onion, sliced, for garnish

How To Make quickie ham and corn chowder

    In a large saucepan, combine all of the ingredients.

    Over medium heat, cook the mixture for about 15 minutes, stirring often.

    Garnish with green onion and serve.
