My mother was of Asian ancestry, as I am also, but we always had a variety of main dishes and desserts that my dear mother prepared; her Corn Chowder and Lemon Meringue pies were great! I now carry on the tradition so that my children & grandchildren can enjoy. Thank you, Mom! XO

Ingredients For mom's corn chowder

3 Tbspbutter, cold

2 cancampbell's cream of celery

2 cancampbell's cream of mushroom

1 cancampbell's cream of potatoe

4 1/2 cmilk, 2%

1 cchopped ham
-
2 Tbspchopped onions

4strips of bacon
-
1/4 tspblack pepper

1 cancorn
-
1 cancream-style corn

1/4 cchopped celery (optional)
How To Make mom's corn chowder

1Brown chopped onions in butter. Then add chopped ham. You may use left over ham.

2Then add your cans of soups and cups of milk. Continue to stir while chowder is heating.

3Fry 4 strips of bacon, crumble, and add to chowder. Sprinkle a dash of black pepper. Simmer and stir until ready to serve.
