Ingredients For creamy corn, potato, ham & cheese chowder

  • 5 Tbsp
    butter
  • 1/2 sm
    onion, chopped
  • 1/2 md
    red bell pepper, chopped
  • 12 oz
    frozen corn
  • 2 lg
    russet potato, cubed
  • 1/4 lb
    smoked ham, cubed
  • 1/4 c
    all purpose flour
  • 1 c
    chicken or vegetable stock
  • 1 c
    heavy cream
  • 1/2 c
    pepper jack cheese, grated
  • 1/2 c
    colby cheese, grated
  • 1 Tbsp
    dried parsley
  • 1 tsp
    salt
  • 1 tsp
    black pepper
  • 2 tsp
    cajun seasoning

How To Make creamy corn, potato, ham & cheese chowder

    In heavy pot melt butter over medium high heat. Sauté onions and bell pepper until soft. Add ham and cook for a few minutes. Sprinkle flour over the top. Stir until thick 3-4 minutes, Add stock, salt, black pepper & Cajun seasoning
  • 2
    Reduce heat to Medium , add potatoes And cook until done 10-15 minutes. Add corn and cook 3-4 minutes. Stir in cream and cheeses until cheese melts. Sprinkle with parsley and serve hot.
