Ingredients For white chicken chili

  • 1 Tbsp
    vegetable oil
  • 1 lg
    onion, chopped
  • 3 clove
    garlic, crushed
  • 1 can
    diced jalapeno peppers (4 oz.)
  • 1 can
    chopped green chile pepper (4 oz.)
  • 2 tsp
    ground cumin
  • 1 tsp
    dried oregano
  • 1 tsp
    ground cayenne pepper
  • 2 can
    chicken broth (14.5 oz. each)
  • 3 c
    cooked chicken, chopped
  • 3 can
    great northern beans (15 oz. each), drained and rinsed
  • 1 c
    pepper jack cheese, shredded

How To Make white chicken chili

  • 1
    Heat oil in a large saucepan over medium-low heat. Slowly cook and stir onion until tender. Mix in garlic, jalapeno, green chile peppers, cumin, oregano and cayenne. Continue cooking for an additional 3 minutes. Add chicken broth, chicken and great northern beans. Simmer 15-20 minutes, stirring occasionally. Remove from heat. Slowly stir in cheese until melted. Serve warm.
