This is a nice way to have venison even if you don't like vension. The red wine at the end makes it special =)

Ingredients For venison chili

1/4 cvegtable oil

2 lbvenison cubed small or coarsely ground

4 clovegarlic chopped
-
2onions chopped
-
1green bell pepper chopped
-
2 cwater
-
4tomatoes chopped
-
2 Tbspmolasses
-
2jalapeno peppers chopped and deseeded

2 Tbspchili powder
-
1 Tbspbasil
-
1/2 Tbspground cumin
-
1 Tbspkosher salt
-
1 Tbspblack pepper
-
1 tspred pepper(optional depending on heat wanted)

1 cred wine
How To Make venison chili

1Heat oil in large stock pot. Add venison and cook until light brown on all sides. Add garlic, onions and bell pepper. Saute until onions and bell pepper are tender.

2Stir in water, tomatoes, molasses, jalapeno, chili powder, basil, cumin , kosher salt, peppers. simmer over low heat for 2 1/2 hours.

3Add the wine and mix well. Cook for 30 min longer
