3 stalkcelery, sliced into 1/2-inch pieces

1 lgred bell pepper, seeded and cut into 1-inch pieces

1 lgyellow bell pepper, seeded and cut into 1-inch pieces

1 lggreen bell pepper, seeded and cut into 1-inch pieces

1 Tbspminced garlic

3 can(14.5 oz each) italian stewed tomatoes

1 can(15 oz) red kidney beans, rinsed and drained
-
1 can(15 oz) garbanzo beans, rinsed and drained

1 can(6 oz) tomato paste

3/4 csliced black olives
-
1/4 ccream sherry (optional)

1 Tbspchopped fresh basil

1 1/2 tspunsweetened cocoa powder

How To Make touchdown italian chili for a crowd

1Grill or pan-fry sausages according to package instructions. Slice them lengthwise and then into 1/2-inch half moons.

2In a large Dutch ove or soup pot, heat oil over medium-high heat and saute onion, celery, peppers and garlic until tender, turning down heat if needed, to keep garlic from burning.

3Add sausage and remaining ingredients and bring to a boil. Reduce heat; cover and simmer for 20-30 minutes.
