I planned to make my regular chili, to mix with leftover Macc & Cheese. Went to the pantry, only to see that I was out of tomato sauce & paste. But I had the whole tomatoes & Rotel. I thought, ok. In the crockpot all day, this might just work. I usually don't use Rotel in my chili, but I wasn't thinking about it when I was adding all my usual spices. Then I thought Uh-Oh, might be a tad too spicy, so I added the tablespoon of brown sugar. Gave it a very subtle sweet taste ahead of the heat.

- FOR THE MEAT

1 lbground chuck

1 mdonion, large diced

1 tspgarlic salt

1/2 tspblack pepper

1/2 tspwhite pepper

1 tspcumin

1 tspmexican chili powder
- FOR THE SAUCE

2 canwhole skinned plum tomatoes

1 canmild,rotel tomatoes

2 candark red kidney beans, undrained

1/2 pkgmccormicks mild chili seasoning

1/2 pkgmccormicks hot chili seasoning

1 Tbspdark brown sugar
How To Make throw together slow cooker chili

1Brown the meat with the spices & onion over medium heat.(doesn't have to be cooked through because it will be in the slow cooker for awhile.) Drain fat.

2While the meat is browning, crush tomatoes with your hands into the slow cooker. Add the rest of the ingredients for the sauce & meat. Stir well to combine.

3Cook on low 6-8 hours.
