Not your regular Chilli Recipe.. It's a chilli with a kick! I wasn't sure what to expect as I threw some ingredients together. Ive been experimenting more with adding brown sugar into meats and since I had accidentally made my chilli a little to spicy I assumed the sweetness would over power that some. When my husband tasted the chilli. He was like "WOW". He said it completely took him my surprise and it wasn't what he was expecting. He said he really liked the bold flavors it had. Its definitely not your typical bowl of chilli but its something you will be going back for more of..

How To Make sweet & spicy chilli

  • 1
In Dutch Oven (or any pan you may have that can go from stove top into oven will work) saute Onions in butter. Then Add Garlic Powder.

Next Add broth, tomato Sauce, diced Stewed Tomatoes, water, vinegar and honey. Allow this to come to a boil.
  • 3
Once this is boiling add your chilli beans and all other spices. (I added a little extra garlic). Continue to boil.

In a Large skillet add just enough oil to coat the bottom of the skillet. Once hot, place in your thinly sliced steak. Add a salt and garlic for taste. Cook just until brown on both sides. Do not over cook, you want your steak to stay tender.

Once your steak is finished add into you chilli. Remove from stove top and place in a preheated oven (300 degrees) for an hour. Let cool and Enjoy!
