The recipe I was given called for a 26-ounce jar of Classico di Napoli Tomato and Basil pasta sauce (which I couldn't find in my market), so I came up with my own version using pizza seasoning (I use Penzey's), which I liked.

Ingredients For pizza chili

1 cmedium shell pasta

1 lblean ground beef
-
3/4 cchopped onions

26 oztomato sauce

1 1/2 Tbsppizza seasoning

2 cwater
-
4 ozsliced mushrooms, drained

2 ozsliced pepperoni
-
1 Tbspinstant beef bouillon

1 Tbspchili powder
How To Make pizza chili

1Cook the pasta according to package directions and drain.

2Brown the ground beef with the onion in a skillet, stirring until the beef is crumbly and the onion translucent; drain.

3Stir in the tomato sauce, pizza seasoning, water, mushrooms, pepperoni, beef bouillon, and chili powder.

4Bring to a boil; reduce the heat and simmer for 20 minutes.

5Stir in pasta shells and serve.
