My mom found this recipe in a recipe/Christmas craft book a few years ago. I just love it. In my opinion it's actually better than a brown chili. But I do like both :)

Ingredients For mom's white chicken chili

  • 6 can
    15 1/2 oz each great northern beans, drained and rinsed
  • 3 can
    5 oz each chicken, drained
  • 32 oz
    chicken broth
  • 3 c
    12 oz shredded monterey jack cheese
  • 2
    4 1/2 oz cans diced green chiles
  • 2 sm
    onions, chopped
  • 1 1/2 c
    sour cream
  • 1 Tbsp
    olive oil
  • 2 tsp
    ground cumin
  • 1 1/2 tsp
    dried oregano
  • 1/4 tsp
    ground white pepper
  • 1 tsp
    garlic powder

How To Make mom's white chicken chili

  • 1
    Combine all ingredients in a large stock pot. Simmer for 30 mins. or till heated thru.
