Ingredients For *** mom's chili ***

2 1/2 lbground chuck

2 conion, chopped

1 lggreen pepper, chopped

2 clovegarlic, minced

3 Tbspchili powder
-
1 1/2 tsporegano, dried

1 tspbasil, dried
-
1 - 6 oz. cantomato paste
-
3 cankidney beans, drained (i usually do 1 dark red & 2 light red)

1/4 tspcrushed red pepper
-
1 tspcumin
-
2 Tbspsugar
-
2 tspsalt
-
2 - 1 lb. cantomatoes, diced

2 - 8 oz. cantomato sauce
How To Make *** mom's chili ***

1In large pot, saute beef, drain fat off. Add onion, green pepper, garlic, chili powder, oregano, basil, red pepper, cumin & mix well. Cook; stirring until onions are tender.

2Stir in sugar, salt, tomatoes, tomato sauce & tomato paste, mix well. Bring to a boil, then simmer slow, covered until thickened, about 40 minutes. Stirring often.

3Add beans, simmer, covered, about 10 more minutes.

4When serving, top with sour cream,raw diced onion, shredded cheddar cheese.

5NOTE: Can also add 1 bag frozen corn (I learned this from a firefighter), 2 C of white wine. You can also serve the chili over rice or pasta.
