This chili is so nice to come home to after a long day at work. Note :You can have what ever amount or type of beans you like or you don't have to have beans in this if you don't want too.

Ingredients For karla's slow cooker chili

2 lbground beef

1 lbground pork
-
1/2 Tbspbacon fat or 5 precooked strips bacon crushed

1 cchopped celery
-
1/2 cgreen and red peppers, chopped

1 cchopped onion

1/4 csugar
-
1/4 cdark brown sugar

1 Tbspbeef soup base
-
48 ozvegetable juice (v-8)

1 tspthyme
-
2 tspsalt
-
1 tsppepper sauce or to taste

1 tspcumin seed

1 tspgarlic powder or minced garlic

2bay leaves
-
1 tspcilantro
-
1/2 Tbspmexican oregano

1 pkgchili seasoning

1 Tbsppaprika
-
1 canstewed tomatoes, 16 ounces

2 canpinto beans
-
1 canlight red kidney beans
How To Make karla's slow cooker chili

1Brown pork and beef, and drain very well.

2Add all ingredients to large crock pot and cover.

3Cook on high for 4-6 hours or low for 8-12 hours.

4The longer it cooks, the thicker it gets.

5Cubed roast or steak may be substitiuted for the ground meat.
