Just a delicious recipe I threw together awhile back, when needing something to go with my newest corn bread recipe! So easy, yet amazing taste! Enjoy!

Ingredients For ~ it's chilly chili ~

  • 1 1/4 lb
    ground turkey or beef...i used turkey
  • 1 md
    onion, chopped
  • 1/2
    med green pepper, chopped
  • 1-15 oz
    each - pinto beans & chili beans - drain just the pintos
  • 1 - 8 oz
    tomato sauce
  • 1 - 1 lb
    can plum tomatoes with basil - smashed with fingers
  • 1-15 oz
    wolf brand canned chili with meat and no beans ..
  • 2-3 Tbsp
    chili powder
  • 1 1/2 tsp
    cumin
  • Salt
    to taste
  • 1 tsp
    garlic powder
  • 1 Tbsp
    each, dried onion & dried garlic

How To Make ~ it's chilly chili ~

    In a dutch oven, saute onion, pepper and meat together, breaking apart meat as it browns. Cook until no pink left in meat and veggies are tender. Add all remaining ingredients and stir thoroughly. Simmer for 30-45 minutes, stirring occasionally.
