fleetwood's famous chili

This my very first chili. I am 38 years old and I took a little bit of each recipe from friends and relatives and this is what I came up with. I serve it with Sweet Texas cornbread (not homemade), with butter and pure honey.

Ingredients For fleetwood's famous chili

  • 2 can
    pinto beans (undrained)
  • 2 can
    black beans (undrained)
  • 2 can
    kidney beans, canned (light or dark, undrained)
  • 1 can
    pinto beans with chili (undrained)
  • 2 can
    chili ready tomatoes (i used bush's)
  • 1 can
    tomatoe paste
  • 1 can
    rotel (tomatoes w/green chile's)
  • 2 md
    green bell peppers
  • 1 pkg
    chili seasoning
  • 1-2 Tbsp
    chili powder (to taste)
  • 2 lb
    hamburger (browned & drained)
  • 2 lg
    onions (diced)
  • 1 pkg
    mexican blend shredded cheese (optional)
  • 1 lg
    sourcream (optional)

How To Make fleetwood's famous chili

    Add all ingredients except hamburger and onions into a crockpot, IT IS VERY IMPORTANT NOT TO DRAIN ANYTHING)

    Cook on high for 3 hours, add onion

    Brown hamburger, drain. Add to mixture. Cook 1 hr

    This can be served with cornbread, salttine crackers, anything you like. Serve topped with cheese, sourcream. Enjoy!
