3 lbground lean beef, turkey or pork

2 cchopped onions

1 cchopped green bell pepper

1 cchopped red bell pepper

3 clovegarlic, pressed or minced

3 Tbspchili powder

1 Tbspdried oregano
-
1 Tbspdried basil
-
1/2 tspcrushed red pepper

1 Tbspground cumin
-
1 Tbspsugar

2 tspsalt

2-16 ozcans whole tomatoes, undrained

1-16 ozcan diced tomatoes(spicy), undrained

1-16 ozcan tomato sauce
-
1-6 ozcan tomato paste
-
4-15 ozcans red kidney beans, drained and rinsed
How To Make diana's quick chili

1Brown beef over medium heat in a large stockpot. Drain excess fat. Add onion, peppers and garlic. Stir in chili powder, organo, basil, red pepper and cumin, and mix well. Cook until onions are tender. Add sugar and salt. Stir in tomatoes, sauce, paste and beans. Bring to a boil, reduce heat and simmer at least 1 hour. Serves 16.
