This is my Son's favorite chili. It just spicy enough for him. He has me add a Habanero for good measure...lol! This can be cooked on the stove or in a crock pot. I have made it in both... either way its a mighty tasty dish...Enjoy!! My photos

Ingredients For chorizo chili

1 1/2 lbground chorizo or other spiced pork

2 - 3jalapeno's chopped, with or without seeds and membranes

1habanero pepper, fresh, chopped ( optional )

1 mdonion, chopped

2 - 3 clovegarlic, minced
-
15 ozcan black beans, drained and crushed - can add more if you like

11 ozcorn, drained - canned or frozen
-
30 ozcan tomatoes, crushed

15 ozcan tomato sauce
-
1 tspground oregano
-
2 Tbspchili powder
-
1 tspground cumin
-
1 tspcrushed red pepper flakes

2 Tbsphot chile sauce or asian hot sauce

2 tspsalt
-
1 Tbspbrown sugar
How To Make chorizo chili

1Chop onion, peppers,garlic.

2Place meat in Dutch oven or similar on stove top burner. Brown meat on medium heat setting for 5 to 7 minutes. Add the vegetables and cook till tender, drain.

3Add all other ingredients in crock pot or dutch oven to finish cooking.

4Cook for 4 hours on low in slow cooker or cook for 1 1/2 to 2 hours on medium to medium low heat on stove top burner.

5Enjoy...make this chili as hot or mild as you like, depending on the amount of peppers and spices you use.
