This is a hearty chili/soup/stew, and so satisfying on a cold weekend night. Leftovers make a great lunch.

Ingredients For chili stew

  • 1 1/2 lb
    course ground chuck
  • 30 oz
    canned chili style beans (in chili gravy)
  • 2
    stalks celery - diced
  • 1 md
    white onion - diced
  • 2 md
    potatoes - peeled & diced
  • 2 clove
    garlic - minced
  • 15 oz
    canned corn
  • 46 oz
    v8 juice
  • 1/4 c
    sugar
  • salt & pepper to taste

How To Make chili stew

  • 1
    ~ Brown ground chuck.
  • 2
    ~ Add rest of ingredients.

    ~ Simmer to cook down for at least one hour.
  • 4
    ~ Pass the shredded Cheddar, crackers, or crusty bread.
