Ingredients For chili

  • 1 lb
    ground beef
  • 1 lg
    white onion, chopped
  • 1/2 tsp
    minced garlic
  • 1 Tbsp
    chili powder
  • 1/2 tsp
    salt
  • 1 tsp
    cumin
  • 1 tsp
    oregano
  • 1 tsp
    hershey's cocoa
  • 1 - 14.5 oz
    can petite-diced tomatoes
  • 2 - 16 oz
    cans beans (do not rain; use pinto and dark red kidney beans.)

How To Make chili

  • 1
    Cook beef, onions and garlic in a large skillet until meat is browned; drain. Transfer to a large pot and add all seasonings and tomatoes (do not add beans). Cover and simmer on low heat for one hour, stirring occasionally.

    After one hour, add beans. Cover and simmer for 30 minutes. Serve. NOTE: Recipe can be doubled or tripled.
