Ingredients For the very best dumplings for soup

  • 3/4 c flour
  • 3 tb parmesan cheese, in the can
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp pepper
  • 3/4 c milk or half & half

How To Make the very best dumplings for soup

    Place all dry ingredients in a medium bowl and mix with a fork.

    Add milk (or half & half) and mix until just combined. Mixing too much could make them tough.

    Drop by half teaspoonfuls into gently simmering soup. Give a gentle stir to keep them from sticking. Once they are all in, continue to gently simmer for 5-10 minutes. Serve.
