Ingredients For the best homemade chicken stock

  • 4 lb
    chicken bones
  • 1
    head of garlic broken up but unpeeled
  • 5
    ribs celery rough chop
  • 2
    leeks rough chop
  • 2
    onions rough chop
  • 2 lg
    carrots rough chop
  • 3
    bay leaves
  • 3 sprig
    rosemary
  • 5 sprig
    parsley
  • 5 sprig
    thyme
  • 10 pt
    water
  • 1/4 c
    salt

How To Make the best homemade chicken stock

  • 1
    Place all ingredients in a large stock pot. Bring to a boil. Reduce the heat to a low and let the stock simmer 4 hours. Skimming as needed. Add more water if stock gets to low or to concentrated.

    Strain the stock through a fine mesh strainer lined with cheesecloth. Let cool completely. Can be frozen for up to 3 months
