1IN A LARGE DUTCH OVEN OR (STOCK POT)..COOK THE DICED ONION AND THE MINCED GARLIC IN OLIVE OIL 7-8 MINUTES

2DO NOT ADD THE CHOPPED STALE BREAD YET...BUT ADD THE REST OF THE INGREDIENTS AND BRING TO BOILING AND IMMEDIATELY TURN DOWN TO SIMMER FOR ABOUT 5 - 10 MINUTES..... JUST BEFORE SERVING, ADD THE CHOPPED STALE BREAD AND STIR INTO THE SOUP...
