Holy Cow a great soup for kids to adults, dog, cats and anything else that gets in its way...LOL..only kidding!!!! It is a wonderful change to chicken soup. Please enjoy and trust me your animals will not jump on your counters and eat!!!! xoxo V

Ingredients For jalepeno chicken soup

  • 4-6 lg
    boiled chicken pieces with or without bones shredded
  • 1 1/2 c
    chopped celery
  • 1 1/2 c
    chopped carrots
  • 1 1/2 c
    chopped onions
  • 1 stick
    butter
  • 3/4 c
    flour
  • 2 pt
    cream
  • 1 jar
    4-6 oz chopped jalapenos
  • dash
    salt

How To Make jalepeno chicken soup

    Boil chicken until tender and falling from bones or cooked thru..approx. 30 min on low heat. Remove and when cooled, remove any bones and set meat aside, can shred or cut up meat to liking.

    Sauté chopped vegetables in 3-4 T butter until tender. In large soup pan, similar to one boiled with chicken, melt remaining stick butter add flour and make rue, stirring constantly, whisk in 2 pints cream gradually to avoid any lumps......(can sub half milk and half cream) if you wish, also can add extra cream or milk to consistency you wish for soup.

    Add chicken to above mixture and stir until mixture becomes thicker and to your liking. Add jalapenos....EAT with fresh baked bread or garlic roasted baguette bread..YUM!!!
