learnin to get more greens in me i kinda cheat cuz i use leftover rotissorrie chicken serve this with jumbo biscuts...... wowza another recipe from me without cheese in it....... shock shock shock...can ya tell i lov cheese lol jus tryin to eat healthier!!!!

Ingredients For diane's homemade spinach soup

  • 1
    whole leftover rotissorrie chicken,deboned [include any spices left on plate]
  • 1 1/2 c
    leftover mashed potatoes[jus use what is left]
  • 1 can
    chicken broth
  • 1/2 tsp
    fresh nutmeg
  • 2 Tbsp
    dried celery leaves
  • 2 Tbsp
    dried onion powder
  • 1 pkg
    10 oz bag fresh spinach
  • 1 can
    evaporated milk
  • garlic powder,salt and pepper to taste

How To Make diane's homemade spinach soup

    after deboning chicken put it in med size soup pot...add broth as well as broth can of water bring to boil...lower temp cook bout 20 min add potatoes, nutmeg, celery leaves, and onion powder cook 10 min more

    add spinach and evaporated milk... taste add garlic powder salt and pepper to taste..turn store to low[or put soup on low in crock pot] and jus let simmer....all afternoon.... make jumbo biscuts 10 min before soup in ready to eat... and enjoy!!!
