  • MISO BROTH
  • 2 c
    cooked chicken diced
  • 1 lg
    carrot cut into matchsticks
  • 6
    scallions chopped
  • 8 c
    chicken stock
  • 1/2 c
    white miso
  • SESAME DUMPLINGS
  • 2 c
    flour
  • 1 Tbsp
    baking powder
  • 1 Tbsp
    black and white sesame seeds
  • 1 tsp
    each salt and garlic powder
  • 1 c
    milk
  • 2 Tbsp
    each melted butter and tahini
  • 1/4 tsp
    sesame oil
  • cilantro and lime wedges for serving

How To Make chicken with sesame dumplings in miso broth

    Place the stock into a large pot. Bring to a boil and reduce the heat and stir in the miso and cook until well incorporated. Add in the chicken, carrots and scallions. Reduce the heat to low and simmer while making the dumplings.

    Combine the flour, baking powder, sesame seeds, salt and garlic powder. Mix well. Add the milk, butter, tahini and sesame oil. Mix well.

    Drop by small spoonfulls into the broth and place lid on top and cook for 15 to 20 minutes until dumplings are done.

    Ladle the soup into bowls and garnish with cilantro and serve with lime wedge
