    chicken bones, chopped in half to expose the marrow

    onion (unpeeled) quartered
  • 2 lg
    carrots, quartered
  • 4 ribs
    celery (leaves & all) quartered
  • 4 whole sprig
    parsley
  • 2 whole sprig
    thyme
  • 8 whole
    black peppercorns
  • 3 whole
    cloves
  • 1
    bay leaf
  • 1 clove
    galic, smashed
  • 5 qt
    cold water

How To Make bunyan's kickin' chicken stock

    Dump all the ingredients in a large dutch oven

    Bring to a rolling boil over high heat

    Lower heat to slow simmer

    Simmer slowly for 4 hours

    Strain in a cheesecloth lined colander

    Cool to room temperature

    Store in tightly sealed mason jars in the fridge (Keeps about a week)You should get a yield of about a gallon
