stuffed green pepper soup
My husband wouldn't eat stuffed green peppers, but he did try this soup at one of our favorite restaurants. He really liked it, so I went looking for recipes. I combined a couple and this is the result. Yummy!

28 oztomato sauce

28 ozdiced tomatoes, undrained

1/4 cbrown sugar

1 Tbspbetter than boullion beef base

2 ccooked long grain rice

cholula hot sauce to taste

1In a large pot cook beef over medium-high heat until browned. Drain

2Stir in next nine ingredients; bring to a boil.

3Reduce heat; simmer, uncovered, until peppers and onions are tender, about 60 minutes.

4Add cooked rice; simmer, uncovered, 10 minutes longer.

5Optional - Cholula Hot Sauce adds a nice flavor component without adding too much heat.
