Sometimes when we make really large steaks we always have some left over. I put the bones and the leftover meat in freezer bags and freeze them until I collect enough for a nice stock for the soup. This is truely made for leftovers, you can put just about any combo of veggies you like.

Ingredients For steak soup

3 to 4 lgmeaty steak bones, usually i use porterhouse

6 ozsteak, more if you have it

32 ozcontainer beef stock

2 tspbeef base

2 mdpotatoes

1 lgonion

1 ceach diced carrots, green beans, corn, limas.

1 cfrozen mixed vegetables

2 clovegarlic
-
1/2 tspeach salt and pepper or to taste

1 tspdry parsley
-
2 mdbay leves
How To Make steak soup

1Put a disposable liner in your slow cooker. You can find these in the zip lock bag department in most grocery stores.

2Dice the potatoes, onion, carrots. Cut the green beans into 1 inch pieces.

3Put the beef bones, steak, and the veggies into the slow cooker, add everything else

4Set slow cooker to low and cook for at least 6 hours.
