ellen's pantry stew
This recipe came about because I had a number of ingredients on hand with no specific plans for them, so I decided to invent something new. I also had a new slow cooker that I wanted to try out.

Ingredients For ellen's pantry stew

1 lblean ground beef

3 lbbaby Yukon potatoes, cut in half

1/2 cchopped celery

1/2 cchopped green pepper

1/2 cchopped onion

2 or 3 clovegarlic, chopped

1 tspsalt
-
1/4 tspblack pepper
-
1 or 2beef bouillon cubes
-
1 pkgHidden Valley ranch seasoning

1 TbspWorcestershire sauce
-
1 candiced tomatoes with juice
How To Make ellen's pantry stew

1In a large skillet, brown the beef over medium heat, stirring frequently. Pour off the grease and add the meat to a slow cooker.

2Add the potatoes, celery, green pepper, onion, garlic, salt and pepper. Stir.

3In a small bowl, mix together the bouillon cubes, a small amount of hot water, the ranch dressing mix, and Worcestershire sauce. Add to the slow cooker.

4Cook on high for 4 hours or low for 8 hours.

5Add the tomatoes to the mixture and stir thoroughly.

6Serve while hot and enjoy!
