This is a recipe I make sometimes when my family and I have a mexican dinner. It is a very filling soup that is super easy and quick to make.

Ingredients For refried bean soup

  • 1 can
    31 oz. refried beans low fat
  • 1 can
    14 1/2 oz. chicken broth, low sodium
  • 1 can
    16 oz. of picante sauce, medium flavor
  • 1 pkg
    8 0z. shredded mexican blend cheese

How To Make refried bean soup

  • 1
    In a medium sauce pan, add beans, broth, and picante sauce until well blended.
  • 2
    Stir over medium heat until soup is hot then add in cheese and stir well. Can be served with tortilla chips crushed into soup in place of crackers.
