    italian sausage links..skin removed

    onion..diced
  • 3 c
    chicken broth
  • 3 md
    tart apples-peeled and cubed
  • 1 can
    (14-1/2 oz) crushed tomatoes(undrained)
  • 2 Tbsp
    cider vinegar
  • 2 Tbsp
    chopped sweet red pepper
  • 2 Tbsp
    brown sugar
  • 1/2 tsp
    seasoned salt
  • 2 Tbsp
    green pepper-chopped
  • 1/2 tsp
    ground mustard
  • 1/4 tsp
    rubbed sage
  • 1/4 tsp
    chili powder
  • 1/4 tsp
    pepper
  • 1 can
    (16 oz)kidney beans..rinsed and drained

  • 1
    In a large sauce pan or soup kettle,cook sausage and onion over medium heat,until meat is no longer pink;drain. add next 12 ingredients. Bring to a boil. reduce heat and simmer 45 minutes;stirring occasionally. Add beans and heat through.
