2 stickcelery, chopped

1onion, chopped

3 clovegarlic, minced

2 tspdried parsley

1 tspitalian seasoning

1/4 tspcrushed red pepper flakes

1 (14.5) ozcan chicken broth

2 mdtomatoes, peeled and chopped

1 (8) ozcan tomato sauce

1/2 cuncooked pasta (shells or elbows)

1 (15) ozcan cannellini (white kidney) beans, with liquid

salt and pepper to taste
How To Make pasta fagioli

1In a large saucepan over medium heat, cook celery, onion, garlic, parsley, Italian seasoning, red pepper and salt until onion is translucent. Stir in chicken broth, tomatoes and tomato sauce, and simmer on low for 15 to 20 minutes.

2Add pasta and cook 10 minutes, until pasta is tender.

3Add undrained beans and mix well. Heat through. Serve with grated Parmesan cheese sprinkled on top.
