A friend of mine gave me this recipe to try during this past winter and let me tell you that it is really good if you like mexican food. Hope that you Enjoy!!!

Ingredients For mexican bean soup

  • 1 big can chicken broth
  • 2 cans of pinto beans
  • 1 can of red beans
  • ( dont drain beans )
  • 1or 2 small cans chopped, green chillies
  • 1 large onion,chopped, sauted in olive oil
  • 1 tsp. garlic powder
  • 3/4 tsp. cumin powder
  • 1-12 oz.pkg. jimmy dean spicy sausage
  • CROCKPOT FRIENDLY AS WELL
  • 1 small jaleapeno pepper ,chopped ( optional)

How To Make mexican bean soup

  • 1
    Brown sausage. Add to a large pot or crockpot with all other ingredients and simmer 2-3 hours. If hotter soup is wanted add sliced jalapeno peppers. Serve with corn chips.
