1 1/2 cup butter

1 1/3 to 1/2 cup brown sugar, to taste
1 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1 1/4 teaspoon ground allspice
1 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
1 heaping 1/2 teaspoon salt*
1 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 1 large egg
1 3 tablespoons honey
1 3/4 cup King Arthur Unbleached All-Purpose Flour or 100% White Whole Wheat Flour
1 1 1/2 cups quick-cooking oats
1 1 1/2 cups raisins (golden or regular), or currants
1 *If you use salted butter, reduce salt to 1/2 level teaspoon.
