A bunch of popcorn recipes landed in my inbox from Serious Eats. This one caught my eye. This is one of my favorite spice blends & is very versatile.

Ingredients For za'atar popcorn

  • 1/3 c
    popcorn kernels
  • 1/4 c
    olive oil or melted butter (or a combination)
  • 1/8 c
    za'atar spice blend
  • kosher salt, to taste

How To Make za'atar popcorn

  • 1
    Pop the corn. You should have about 8c popped. My favorite way is in the wok on my gas stove.

    Drizzle with some of the oil or butter. Sprinkle with some of the za-atar. Sprinkle on a small amount of kosher salt.

    Toss/stir until thoroughly distributed. Repeat with remaining oil/butter, za'atar & salt, a bit at a time, until it is to your liking.
