My kids and I love pickled sausages.

Ingredients For pickled sausage

  • 4 c
    water
  • 2 Tbsp
    salt
  • 3 c
    vinegar
  • 10
    drops of red food coloring(optional)
  • 1 pkg
    little smokies or any type of beef sausage, not eckrich or any like that.

How To Make pickled sausage

  • 1
    Combine the water,salt, vinegar and food coloring in a large pot and heat to a boil.

    you can cut the sausage to desired size, leave little smokies whole.
  • 3
    place sausage in a glass jar that has a lid. pour the mixture in to jar. Place lid on the jar and tighten and let it stand for 2 days then serve.
